Panthers vs Lions

Panthers vs Lions: In Week 10, the Carolina Panthers got their first opportunity to take part in a primetime game and play before a national audience. Needless to say, that opportunity ended very poorly. And now, the Panthers find themselves back in the same position they have found themselves in for most of the year: In the early afternoon window, and out of the national spotlight as they make the trip north to face an opponent on the brink.

The Panthers’ Week 11 game against the Detroit Lions will be broadcast on FOX (WJZY in the Charlotte area), but will have a very limited scope compared to other games the Panthers have played in this season. With the overwhelming majority of the United States being served the Dallas Cowboys’ game against the Atlanta Falcons in FOX’s early afternoon window, the Panthers’ game will be seen only in markets specific to the two teams playing: Those being the Carolinas and part of the Great Lakes region. The game will be carried by FOX affiliates throughout North and South Carolina and up into West Virginia, as well as in Michigan and parts of Wisconsin, Minnesota, and North Dakota.

All three of the games in FOX’s early afternoon window features NFC South opponents. In addition to Panthers vs. Lions and Cowboys vs. Falcons, FOX is also broadcasting the New York Giants’ game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

On the call for the Panthers’ game against the Lions will be play-by-play announcer Kenny Albert, color analyst Ronde Barber, and sideline reporter Jen Hale. Albert and Barber were most recently on the call for the Panthers in Week Nine, when they were part of FOX’s broadcast of the Panthers’ win over the Buccaneers.

Meanwhile, the Panthers’ radio broadcast will once again be aired on WBT-AM 1110 AM in the Charlotte market, with Mick Mixon, Jim Szoke, Eugene Robinson, and Kevin Donnalley on the call. A Spanish language broadcast will also be aired on WGSP 102.3 FM, with Jaime Moreno and Luis Moreno Jr. on the call.

The Panthers have provided both a list of radio affiliates and a link to listen to the Panthers’ radio broadcast online via their official website. The Panthers’ radio broadcast will feature a full eight hours of coverage, with three hours of pre-game content and two hours of post-game.
